Professor Alexandru Kristaly (Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania) will give a lecture on the Schrödinger-Maxwell system involving sublinear terms on June 22, 2012, at 12:00, in our regular classroom 310/A (1051 Budapest, Zrinyi u. 14, Third Floor). 

Professor Stepan A. Tersian (University of Rousse, Bulgaria) will visit our department during the period April 30 - May 2, 2012. He will give a lecture On homoclinic solutions of a semilinear p-Laplacian difference equation with periodic coefficients on May 2, 2012, 10:00 a.m., in our regular classroom 310/A (1051 Budapest, Zrinyi u. 14, Third Floor).

Our PhD Candidate Kostadinka LAPKOVA (CEU Mathematics Dept) will defend her dissertation, entitled "Class Number Problems for Quadratic Fields", on May 23, 2012, 1:00 pm (CEU, 1051 Budapest, Zrinyi u. 14, Third Floor, Room 310/A). 

Our PhD Candidate Ferenc SZÖLLŐSI (CEU Mathematics Dept) will defend his dissertation, entitled Construction, classification and parametrization of complex Hadamard matrices, on April 10, 2012, 10:00 a.m., in our regular classroom 310/A (1051 Budapest, Zrinyi u. 14, Third Floor).

Professor Mihai MIHAILESCU (University of Craiova, Romania, CEU PhD Alumnus) will visit our department during the period March 9-15, 2012.

Professors Nilgun CEYLAN and Fatih NURAY (Afyon Kocatepe University, Turkey) are visiting our department during the period January 16-21, 2012, in the framework of the Erasmus program. Professor Fatih Nuray will give a lecture in our Departmental Seminar, entitled On statistical convergence, on January 17 (Tuesday), at 4:00 p.m., Room 310/A (Zrinyi u. 14, Third Floor).

Miklós Pálfia (MS Alumnus) will defend soon his PhD Thesis on Matrix Means and Geometric Constructions (supervisor Professor István Vajk).
